This grid is version 1.0 of northern spotted owl habitat suitability. It was modeled using BioMapper (v3.1) software (Hirzel 2004). Habitat suitability ranges from 0-100. A value close to zero signifies that an individual map unit has little in common with the conditions found where territorial owls are present, and those with values close to 100 have much in common with sites having territorial owl presence. This is the first monitoring period and covers the time period of 1994-2003. This data set was developed as part of the Northwest Forest Plan Interagency Regional Monitoring Program.
